Robert Frank, a master of photography, passed away in September 2019. This book is the last photobook he worked on himself. The setting is Mabou, Nova Scotia, Canada, where he and his wife, June Leaf, spent summers for decades. It focuses on their life in the wooden house he loved, capturing everyday life in Mabou. The book features portraits of his wife, Allen Ginsberg, and Frank's son, as well as a simple interior with an iron stove, modest furniture, and bare light bulbs. It also includes landscapes of the sea and land, covered in snow, sometimes windswept, hit by storms, and bathed in sunlight. His autobiographical words accompany the quiet and serene photographs.
