Unlike regular obi boards, which are symmetrical, this Beppin Obi-ita is designed to eliminate discomfort, such as the obi board pressing against the hip bones or ribs when sitting. The top and bottom edges of the obi board are shaped to fit the body. Because of this, it reaches all the way to the armpits, keeping the obi smooth and wrinkle-free, and it doesn't hurt. Also, because a pillow is attached to the back, you can tie the obi with a forward slant even when using it normally. Size: 52cm wide, 14cm long
