As a vintage item, the lining shows signs of wear, but it is in good condition considering its age. The wool on the outer fabric shows no holes, fraying, or stains. ● Product Description This is a jacket from "MAGEE," a well-known fabric manufacturer of Donegal tweed. Donegal is one of the four major tweeds: "Harris," "Donegal," "Shetland," and "Cheviot." Generally, Harris Tweed is the most famous, but Donegal is the second most well-known and is favored by those in the know. A major characteristic is the color neps in the homespun fabric. The weight is slightly lighter than Harris Tweed. Originally, MAGEE was a fabric manufacturer, but this jacket has no tailor or brand tag. Instead, it has two MAGEE tags, suggesting that they also produced tailored items alongside their fabrics. The fabric well represents the characteristics of Donegal tweed, with herringbone and various color neps. It looks gray in the photos, but it actually appears green and beige. The third photo is the closest to the actual appearance. The tailoring has a structured shoulder. It doesn't have the boxy silhouette often seen in older items, but rather a modern silhouette with a moderate waist shape. The orange lining provides an accent and doesn't give a dated impression. The buttons appear to be nut buttons in the same color as the fabric. I fell in love with it at a vintage import clothing store and purchased it for around 18,000 yen. However, the size is slightly large for me and requires adjustment, and I also own several other tweed jackets, so I decided to sell it to organize my belongings.
