It's large enough to hold A2 size paper. This is the one I used for the Class 2 Architect exam. There are three holes in the top board, which are marks from a compass point. They won't be a problem if you put paper over them. Also, there are some faint scratches that don't show up in the photos. There's no problem with using it, but it's not new, so please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about the condition. A carrying case is also included as a bonus.
