This is a hidden gem, known only to those in the know. It's a Carl Zeiss CONTAX G Planar 45mm lens that has been modified to fit a Leica M-mount. It focuses down to 70cm and is rangefinder coupled with Leica M-type cameras. I believe the resolving power is quite high. I can't compare it to the APO Summicron 50mm as I haven't used it, but it definitely has higher resolving power than the current Summicron 50mm. It's a modification kit made by Funleader. It uses a metal lens barrel and has a solid build quality. It has a fake 6-bit code, so it's recognized as the current Summicron 50mm on digital Leica bodies. It has been adjusted by a technician at Funleader's domestic distributor. I've confirmed that it rangefinder couples without issue on my M9. A metal hood, lens cap, and lens filter are also included. The condition is as shown in the photos, and it's in very clean condition. There is no dust or debris visible. The reason for selling is that I acquired a Summilux 50mm ASPH. and found that the Summilux suits my preferences better. Thank you.
