I thoroughly tested the pen at the store and confirmed that the writing feel of the Japanese gold nib was excellent. However, I discovered that the ink bled through the paper of my diary (foreign-made) (crying). Since I will be using this diary for many years to come, I'm unfortunately going back to using regular pens, and I'm offering this pen to someone who can use it. The fine nib is versatile for small handwriting in planners, and for writing letters on stationary. Based on my personal experience testing it at the store, the EF (Extra Fine) nib felt a bit scratchy and might damage the paper. The M (Medium) nib would cause the strokes of complex kanji characters to blur when writing small. While it depends on personal preference, I think the fine nib is versatile for writing Japanese in various situations. No pets, no children. Opened only an hour ago.
