These reed tongues are made from high-quality reeds from Udo, dried in the shade for about 1.5 to 2 years, and then smoked over a irori (sunken hearth) for over 10 years. These are top-of-the-line reeds, boasting both superior sound quality and durability. Furthermore, I have carefully selected the best materials for the cap, binding, and paper, using the finest materials I have cultivated over many years. Please refer to past reviews of my reeds for a better understanding. These reeds are finished with great care, allowing for comfortable playing. They generally fit any hichiriki, including those with plastic tubes, but this particular reed is slightly thinner. If you prefer a thicker or thinner reed, please let me know when ordering, and I will accommodate your request. While I finish the reeds so that even beginners and women can easily produce a sound, please be aware that they will not sound with a light or weak breath. As my teacher in the musical ensemble says, "To produce a good sound and tone, it is important to blow with all your might..."
