Lawton weave is designated as one of the traditional crafts of "Shuri-ori". I purchased this about 12 years ago. I don't remember the exact price, but it was expensive. This Nagoya obi was woven by Sachiyo Komesu of Aya Kobo. The pattern is woven with blue and navy threads on a white background, and it's very beautiful. The part other than the otaiko (back pattern) and maegara (front pattern) is all white, but there is movement due to the varying widths of the Lawton weave. I think it's a very elaborate obi.
