【Product Description】 Recording King RPS-9-TS, One-Owner, Solid Top This is a Recording King RPS-9-TS. This model is no longer available in Japan. It's a single-O size, quite lightweight parlor guitar. The top is solid spruce, and the sides and back are white wood. Although it's an inexpensive model, it resonates well. It has a generally light sound, but perhaps because it's a 12-fret joint, it produces a decent amount of bass, which is nice. Most single-O sizes have a scale length of 630mm, but this model is interesting because it has a scale length of 645mm, which is almost a regular scale. This has the advantage of not easily losing tension even with alternate tunings or down-tuning. I purchased it new in October 2025 and used it as a backup for live performances, but I ended up not using it much, so I'm selling it. The original build quality is somewhat rough, so please be aware of that. When I bought it, the saddle was a bit high, so I shaved it down slightly to lower the string height. Also, the original nut had a narrow string spacing of 33.8mm between the 6th and 1st strings, so I replaced it with a nut with wider string spacing. Currently, the nut width is 43.1mm and the string spacing is 36.5mm, making it easier to fingerpick. I also adjusted the height of the nut. However, the replacement nut was not thick enough, so I used a piece of wood as a spacer. I still have the original nut, so I will include it if you need it.
