Keilwerth EX (Exclusive Model) Serial number 89485 Manufactured in the 1980s The Exclusive model has a very limited production run, and shares the same specifications as the Couf Superba 1 used by Grover Washington Jr. While Keilwerth instruments are relatively inexpensive, they are characterized by beautiful German craftsmanship and, above all, a rich yet encompassing tone. Playing this instrument clearly demonstrates these qualities. I own Selmer, Yanagisawa, and Yamaha saxophones, but this one has a stronger personality than any of them, especially in the low register. During the test play, I was once again impressed by the instrument's truly captivating tone and sound. It's very difficult to let go of this instrument, but due to circumstances, I am reluctantly putting it up for sale. The appearance is worn, and there are areas that need repair, but the sound is superb, and it has the potential to become a beloved instrument. ・Overall, there is lacquer peeling, rust, and minor scratches, but there is no damage to the body of the instrument itself. ・One spring is broken (as indicated by the red circle in the photo). ・The sound is affected only when the broken spring is an issue (when the right index finger is lifted and the middle finger presses F#), but when pressed, it plays down to the lowest B♭, so it seems that there are no obvious pad leaks if the spring is replaced. ・One of the two screws on the key cover is missing. ・The pearl on the High F# key is missing. ・Only the body and case are included; there are no other accessories.
