It can be used for various small items, such as earphones and keys. It has a rounded knit, so it's not very stable, but it stands on its own if you shape it. It won't tip over if you put in something light like glasses, but it will tip over if you put in something heavy that puts weight on the side. It's knitted in two layers, front and back, so it's thick, and as you can see in the third photo, the holes in the knit are less noticeable even when stretched.
