Fish Jizaikagi Yokogi (adjustable hook crossbeam). At first glance, it looks like a whale, but it's a sea bream. It's made of hard, sturdy wood. There are cracks and chips in the fins. The support post was prepared by me as a temporary measure, but it's necessary for it to stand on its own. Please note that this support post doesn't fit perfectly into the hole in the main body. I believe it's from around the late Edo period. It has a very pleasing wood grain. I've handled several of these recently, but I couldn't find one that I really liked, and I was about to give up when I acquired this one. Length: Approximately 33cm The size is approximate. The actual item may differ slightly in color from the images. As it is an old item, there are age-related scratches and stains.
