Two KPM Berlin crucibles from Germany. I found these at an antique shop in England about 30 years ago. One has a crack. KPM Berlin was founded in 1763 as the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Germany. The KPM mark, a cobalt blue scepter, is proof of its royal status and has changed slightly over the years. While tableware is sometimes seen, these small-sized crucibles are quite rare items, I think. A crucible is a laboratory reagent used in experiments and chemical analysis. The cobalt blue mark on the white porcelain is beautiful, and the small size makes it fun just to display and look at. Left image • Has a crack. Please check the image.
