Yoron-yaki was established in 1970 on Yoron Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, with the support of Koishiwara-yaki from Fukuoka Prefecture, by Kihachiro Kaneko (potter's name: Kyou) and his father, Haruhiko Kaneko. Currently, it seems to be integrated with Ishigaki-yaki. Therefore, "Yoron-yaki" produced on Yoron Island can be said to be rare! The fusion of naturally colored glass and pottery creates a blue-green color reminiscent of the beautiful sea of Yoron Island at the bottom of the teacup! This item is a home storage item and is unused, but there are traces of tape on the box.
