This is a Miharu-goma that I found in the closet. The box is old, but I don't think it's been used, so I believe it's new. Miharu-goma is one of the three major Japanese koma (spinning tops) and is a traditional craft and local toy of Fukushima Prefecture. The black koma is said to be a charm for fertility, safe childbirth, and child-rearing. The size of the outer box is 5.5cm long, 3.7cm wide, and 2cm high (measured manually).
