Tuned Thai Gong High Octave g#' (a♭') Used This is a used item, but I believe it is in much the same condition as when it was purchased new. I have played it with felt-wrapped, yarn-wrapped, and cotton-wrapped mallets. I have not used hard mallets made of metal or plastic. For reference, I have included images of the tuning measurements. As a characteristic of the instrument, it contains many overtones, and the pitch is not as precise as that of a keyboard instrument. Audibly, it sounds close to the indicated pitch.
