This is a fukuro obi (formal obi) with a subdued, slightly purplish gray background and a wave pattern woven in gold thread. It is made without a core, giving it a cool, sheer appearance. Even without a core, it's not overly flimsy, so it shouldn't be difficult to tie. There is some yellowing/discoloration on the plain areas (see photo 7), but it's barely noticeable in the photos. While it has a slightly vintage feel, there are no noticeable stains or other issues when worn.
