I haven't checked the exact year, but it's PSA spec and made in Taiwan. It seems to work fine without any crackling noises. However, there's a mark like a sticker residue on the front, and the insulation panel inside the back cover has been replaced with cardboard. It's been working without any problems for a while, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about these points.
