Katsu Kaishu January 30, 1823 – January 19, 1899 Japanese samurai (bakushin) and politician. His rank was Second Court Rank, Order of Merit First Class, and title of Count. He served as the last President of the Army of the Edo Shogunate and the first Minister of the Navy of the Meiji government.
