This is a set of 5 lidded bowls, rice bowls, and tiered boxes in Yamanaka lacquerware. These are gorgeous bowls with designs of plum blossoms, umbrellas, and more. They can be used for various occasions such as chirashizushi or sushi bowls for Hinamatsuri (Doll's Festival), as bowls for dishes like unagi (eel), or as tiered boxes for New Year's celebrations and parties. Size: Diameter approx. 14 cm, Height approx. 7 cm (with lid) These are Showa retro tiered boxes purchased about 40-50 years ago. 2 bowls have been used twice, and 3 bowls are brand new and unused. Some may have slight scuffs (see 7th photo). The box is also from that era and has some dirt. The overall condition is good, but please understand this before purchasing. The items will be washed again and packed using recycled cardboard for shipping. We are also selling ginkgo tiered boxes, so a bundle discount is possible.
