This phrase teaches the importance of wholeheartedly engaging in everything, at all times and in all places, without unnecessary calculations. ▢ Kaido Fujii 1898-1984 515th Abbot of Daitoku-ji Temple, 22nd Abbot of Yoshun-in Temple, and chief priest of Sangen-in Temple, a sub-temple of Daitoku-ji Temple. After the war, he, along with Zuigan and Unso, worked to restore Daitoku-ji Temple. He had a deep knowledge of tea ceramics and guided Kyoto potters, contributing to the revival of Shino ware from the Edo period. He also produced many of his own tea bowls, tea scoops, and tea hanging scrolls, and was one of the most popular abbots of Daitoku-ji Temple in tea ceremonies.
