Thank you for viewing. This plate was purchased from an antique shop. The design on the inside is stylish. The large gold circular window at the bottom features a paulownia crest pattern. The bird on the upper right is a crane crest pattern. The upper left features peony arabesque. The underglaze blue on the lower left looks like coral. The three small red-painted flowers in the center are possibly karahana (Chinese flowers). The back of the body features phoenixes and scrolls. It's filled with auspicious motifs. It seems suitable for use or display on special occasions like New Year's or anniversaries. It has a snake-eye foot and the mark "Kakutomi". It's likely from the late Edo period to the Meiji period. It has a "Amade" glaze. Overall, it has crackle. It seems like it will develop an interesting appearance with use. There are no noticeable large scratches or chips.
