This is a wooden carving of a Doshin mask by Aranson Miyata of Nihon Mingei-sha. January: Peering Even if you don't peer suspiciously, impurity will be dispelled. An explanatory note about the mask is also enclosed. It is described as a valuable wooden craft item, also as a folk art material. This item was found in a drawer at my parents' house. The expression is innocent and unique, with a powerful and dynamic touch. It was purchased many decades ago, and although it is dusty and the box is old, I will send it as is to avoid mishandling. There is a string attached so it can be hung on a wall. Since this item is no longer made, I am not offering a discount. It is very old, and was purchased as a souvenir in Shinshu and then stored away. There may be some age-related deterioration, and the box is quite old as shown in the photos. Please purchase only if you understand the nature of old items and folk art. In the photos, the room looks bright due to the sunlight, but the actual item has a slightly subdued texture. It's similar to other Doshin masks. It's a reddish wood.
