This is a one-of-a-kind, handmade piece created by my sculptor father, who carved it from wood. It is not a replica. The wood the kingfisher is perched on is driftwood from Shiretoko, the Sea of Okhotsk, Hokkaido. The artwork was made by carving the wood into the shape of a bird, sculpting the feathers, and then coloring it. The bird is almost life-size. Please check the images. Material... Wood
