This aircraft, D-ABTH, began operations in 1991 as the 17th Boeing 747-400M (Combi) ever built, with only 42 of this type produced worldwide. It served as a mainstay of Lufthansa German Airlines, flying long-haul international routes. The design, which allowed for the transport of both passengers and cargo on the same deck, was a groundbreaking option for flexibly meeting aviation demands at the time. From February 2003 to November 2008, it operated as a "Star Alliance" special livery aircraft, attracting attention as a symbol of cooperation among the alliance's member airlines. It was retired on November 1, 2014, and stored at Mojave Airport (MHV) in California from November 18 of the same year. It was subsequently dismantled, but Airlinertags was fortunate enough to preserve a portion of the aircraft's outer skin.
