First of all, almost all Shetland wool on the market is woolen, but premium Shetland wool achieves worsted spinning by using fine micron raw materials. Instead of spinning the worsted yarn with modern high-speed machines, the time-consuming process of doubling and drafting, which can only be done with a 250-year-old English spinning machine, was used to develop a yarn with a voluminous feel while still being worsted.
