When listing, I washed it in the washing machine, then dried it in the shade and in a gas dryer. She's at an age where she doesn't wet the bed, but I just found a small stain. I washed it thoroughly, so it's not dirty, but if you're concerned, please remove the stain or use a cover. It's a small size, convenient for babies to young children in elementary school. Also, it's recommended as a blanket for adults, compact and warm, for those who travel by car often, and for those who like the outdoors.
