The "Kihon no Isshiki" series was created with the desire for people to casually use Japanese tableware with different characteristics depending on the region. Together with kilns across Japan, we created a minimal yet highly functional set of tableware that can cover three meals a day. Seto, where pottery has been made for over a thousand years and is synonymous with ceramics. This is a simple piece made with the kiln "Mizuyoshi Seitousho" located in this area, inspired by the "Ishizara" (stone plate) that was loved by the common people during the Edo period.
