Furthermore, they discovered high-quality raw materials for white porcelain and built a kiln in Mikawachi, developing products. They have inherited the tradition and history for 380 years, reaching the present day. The characteristics of Mikawachi ware are the elegant refinement of white porcelain decorated with deep indigo blue gos (underglaze cobalt), and they are proud and constantly striving to develop new works, not allowing other regions to follow. In 1961, their works were purchased by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress during their Kyushu tour. There are no noticeable scratches or stains, but as it has been used, there are some signs of use and damage due to aging.
