This is a chin rest for a violin. I used it for about a year, and then changed my playing style, so I switched to a different chin rest and kept this one stored at home. I believe I was told it was made in Egypt when I bought it. The original purchase price was about 7,000 yen. It's made of boxwood, and produces a bright, yet firm and focused sound. The rounded form fits the body well, making it very comfortable to use. The weight was about 60g. The metal fittings and cork parts are in good condition without any damage. While I don't see any major scratches or stains, please consider that it has been used for a certain period of time and is a used item. It has been disinfected with alcohol.
