A work by Takeshi Tsuchida of Ooisawa ware. Born in Kyoto City in 1972, as the second son of Jyu-ni-dai (12th generation) Teruyuki Tomiko, a bag craftsman of the Senke Jisshoku (Ten Craftsmen of the Senke School). Fascinated by the nature of Ooisawa, Yamagata Prefecture, he inherited an old house sought by his maternal grandfather and opened "Chosetsu-gama" in 2007. He named it Chosetsu-gama after his paternal grandfather's posthumous Buddhist name, and used "Shichi" as the kiln mark from "Kinchichi," the former trade name of the old house. In 2011, he held his first solo exhibition in Yamagata City, followed by solo exhibitions in Sendai City, Kyoto City, Hagi City, Kanazawa City, and other locations. In 2014, he was granted the name "Ooisawa ware" by Director Kimura of the Kitamura Museum (Kyoto City).
