Sculptor from Ajicho. While attending Tokyo Fine Arts School (now Tokyo University of the Arts), he was selected for the first time in the "15th Teiten 3rd Section" (1934) with "Nude Standing Figure," and was selected for Nitten many times thereafter. While actively exhibiting at domestic art exhibitions, he also received requests from all over Japan and created numerous monuments. His life work in the latter half of his life, the "Chinese Zodiac Series," still has many loyal fans.
