Elastic waistband for adjustment, with stretch. They were too long for my child, so I had them hemmed up 9 centimeters. It's hand-sewn, so I think they can be let down easily, but I'll sell them as is. Rather than noticeable stains, there's overall fading, especially on the seat and knees, please check the images. m(__)m
