A signed baseball from pitcher Jose Fernandez, the young ace of the MLB's Miami Marlins, who tragically passed away at the young age of 24 in a boating accident in September 2016. He was the National League Rookie of the Year in 2013. (His number 16 is now retired.) This signed ball was obtained after waiting for him following a game on August 23rd, about a month before his passing, where he started against the Kansas City Royals at Marlins Park in Miami. The ball itself is a commemorative ball with the logo of the All-Star Game held in Miami in 2017, purchased at the team store on the day of the game. *Ball case is not included.
