I used it to store fabric and other simple items and displayed it on a shelf. As far as I can tell, there are no major scratches or stains, but this is a product that has been displayed in my home for a long time. There may be some fraying, discoloration, small scratches, or dirt characteristic of baskets. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details.
