Although listed as short-sleeved, it's more like a three-quarter sleeve, reaching about the elbow. There are pockets on both sides of the waist. The silk part is thin. When it gets colder, you can layer with a long-sleeved T-shirt or a thin turtleneck. A wide belt would also look good. Purchased about 10 years ago and only worn a few times back then.
