Price reduced on 11/8 This is a brooch and obi-dome (sash fastener) made by my grandmother in Nagasaki. It appears to be unused. I am also selling my aunt's 18k gold coral brooch, but my grandmother's brooch is larger, thicker, and more intricately carved. This is likely because they were made in different eras. This one features a peony design. The material is silver, as shown in photos 8 and 9. The silver has some age-related tarnish. The size is approximately 6 x 3.5 x 2 cm. It is thick. Weight: 36 grams The carving is very deep, and the peony petals have a fluttering, dynamic feel. There appear to be no scratches or chips. When listing this item, I searched for "Deguchi Coral" in Nagasaki, which is mentioned on the small certificate, to ensure there were no mistakes. The address and phone number were close, but slightly different. They were involved in a wide range of businesses, not just coral, and even ran restaurants. I think it's beautiful, but please forgive any oversights. I am very sorry, but due to the high value of this item, returns are not accepted.
