This is a hairpin, possibly jade or agate. It belonged to my grandmother, who was born in the Taisho era and was a master of Ikebana (flower arrangement). Green stone hairpins are more often associated with older people, but they are now rare and considered high-end items. The color combination matches well with the coral hairpin I have also listed. My mother kept it as a memento, but rather than letting it sit unused, I'd prefer someone to use it and bring it back into the spotlight. I hope to pass it on to someone who will cherish it. Therefore, I would appreciate it if those looking to resell it would refrain from purchasing. Also, it has been stored carefully for a long time at home, so please refrain from purchasing if you are not familiar with vintage or antique items or if you are overly sensitive to such things.
