SEIKO ALARM QUARTZ 7223-6000. This is a quartz watch with an alarm function, released in 1979. It was the first analog quartz watch to feature an alarm function. As the name ALARM QUARTZ suggests, it was a model that actively promoted its alarm function. The four slits at the top of the watch look like a speaker for the alarm, but they are speaker-like slits designed to visually appeal to the alarm function. This kind of design is very characteristic of the time. While there are not many of this model available, the white dial versions can still be found. The black dial version offered here is rarely seen. Many models have had their bands replaced, but I believe this one has the original bracelet from the time. Although nearly 50 years have passed since its release, there are minor scratches commensurate with age, but no critical damage. I think it's in quite good condition considering its age. I am selling it because my collection has grown too large. The battery has been dead since I received it. I thought about having the battery replaced someday, but it never happened.
