● About the Item ● This is an overlay bangle by the late Ramon Platero of the Navajo tribe. It seems he was creating exclusively for the Carl Luthy Shop in Santo Domingo, but this piece is under his personal name. He is also famous for being the first artist to use tobacco leaf motifs in Native American jewelry. What's particularly noteworthy is the organic design of the protrusions at the top and bottom. I don't think you'll find anything like it easily, so how about it, collectors? The size is 13.5cm around the silver plate. Including the opening, it's about 16cm. I have slender wrists (around 15.5cm), so I had it slightly reduced after I got it, and it fits perfectly. The weight is about 64g, substantial. The needlepoint marks are likely for management purposes, such as at Trading Post (common with OLDPAWN). ◼︎ Requests ◼︎ Because it's Native American jewelry, there's the charm of being handmade, as well as some imperfections in the craftsmanship.
