It comes in a paulownia wood box and features a luxurious design with flowers and butterflies depicted in maki-e (sprinkled picture) and holograms. The design isn't like a sticker that could peel off; it's transferred onto the pen body, making it feel integrated. It has a fountain pen-like design, but it's a ballpoint pen. The ink is replaceable, so when it runs out, you can replace it with Sakura or Mitsubishi ink, as indicated on the included paper! The ink flows properly and you can write with it normally, but the writing experience isn't particularly smooth, possibly due to aging. The pen body has no noticeable scratches or stains and is in a beautiful, like-new condition.
