We have not checked for water tightness. There are cracks in the bottom plate, so we cannot guarantee actual use. This is an old item from the time, so there are corresponding scratches, dirt, etc. Please forgive any age-related deterioration or oversight not mentioned, as this is a vintage item. We will refrain from shipping on weekends and holidays.
