This is a DONAT mouthpiece, which is not widely distributed in Japan. It was introduced at a certain shop as being from Eric's personal collection, and because it felt good, it was purchased. There are no scratches, dents, or repairs that would interfere with playing. Please note that the size is quite different from the mouthpieces Eric uses. The 171 is about a Bach 1 1/4, and looking at it alone, it feels quite large, but because of its flat rim, even I, who usually plays around a 3C, can play it. (In fact, the official comparison chart is quite questionable.) It's the shallowest model, but it's probably around a Bob Reeves D. The sound when playing softly is truly wonderful, and I think you can play it during solos without switching mouthpieces. It's similar to a Monette Prana and makes sub-tone incredibly easy to produce. (It is said that all mouthpieces have undergone annealing, just like the Monette Prana.) Furthermore, unlike Monette mouthpieces, which have entered a completely overpriced mode, significantly exceeding their original new price, this can be purchased at a realistic price. Of course, high notes can also be played easily. However, be careful not to overplay. It's not a mouthpiece that will help you when you get tired, like a Bob Reeves. The new price is 149 euros (around 27,000 yen) plus shipping. While Lotus is not a manufacturer with skillful marketing, it's a shame that their name recognition is low. After playing, it was always washed with water and a swab was passed through. I recommend it.
