This is a very cute set of two teacups and saucers. Limoges porcelain is made in the Limoges region of France, and its history dates back to the 18th century. The cups have a pedestal shape, with a wasp-waisted stem like a 19th-century lady, and a graceful curve that widens from the body to the foot, creating an hourglass silhouette. The gold-plated handle has a square cross-section design that matches the overall atmosphere. The painting is all hand-painted by artisans. The cartouche frames are edged with gold. Roses are painted inside the cups. It is depicted in a painterly expression, as if looking out of a small window at a rose garden filled with a sweet, pleasant fragrance. Both the cups and saucers have gold trim on the edges, and the foot of the cup is also gold-plated. Gold paint is also hand-painted on the inside of the cup. The sweet and soft color, delicate and elegant decorations and graceful form, and the roses in the cartouche that seem to exude fragrance are very attractive Limoges porcelain cups and saucers. Due to the hand-painting by the artisans, there are areas that are not painted neatly, as shown in photos 12 and 13. There is a dimple from the time of purchase in photo 15. I find that incredibly endearing.
