DW 14-inch 20-strand Snare Wire A DW-SMTT2014 Snare Drum This is a DW 14-inch 20-strand snare wire. It's unclear whether this was removed from a new DW snare drum or a used one, but it's been found and is being offered for sale. I don't remember using it. I tend to replace them quickly because they're not to my liking. I've purchased two new DW snare drums, so it's probably new, but if it was removed from a new snare, it's been in the snare wire storage box for about two years. There don't seem to be any breaks.
