The SG model quickly gained popularity worldwide within a few years. The SC (early model) series was launched in that memorable year of 1977 as an original Strat-style model. This is one SC800 model, which has been modified by my friend as follows: ・Custom pickguard installed: Originally, this model did not have a pickguard, but based on the pickup changes, a newly designed pickguard was installed to cover the pickup cavities. It was made of bird's eye wood and finished with clear (transparent) water-based urethane varnish.
