This type of "Lamby" was available in 6 sizes: 10cm / 14cm / 17cm / 22cm / 28cm / 35cm. The item for sale is the second smallest size, the 14cm model. Actual size including the tail: H: Approximately 14cm W: 7cm D: 17.4cm This is a "Lamby the Sheep 14cm" that was made by the German Steiff company between 1949 and 1968. The ID is a yellow tag, with half cut off and the text faded, and a silver button of the type used until 1968. The bell is missing. The ribbon has been replaced with a new one. The eyes are pistachio green and black two-tone glass eyes, the nose and mouth are hand-stitched with red embroidery thread, and the ears are felt. The stuffing is wood wool, the body is wool plush, and there is a wire-like material in the tail. As it is an old item from over half a century ago, there is an age-related wear and tear, and there are areas where the wool around the seams is thin. Also, there are fine scratches on the surface of the left eye, and paint loss is visible on the inside, which seems to have occurred during the manufacturing process.
