[Rare] [Excellent Condition] Kurayoshi Hariko Tiger Tottori Prefecture Kurayoshi City Zodiac Tiger Amulet Good Luck Charm Folk Toy Traditional Craft Folk Art Discontinued Kurayoshi Hariko, a folk toy from Kurayoshi City, Tottori Prefecture. Representative works include "Hakota Ningyo" and "Inaba no Shirousagi (White Rabbit of Inaba)". Kurayoshi Hariko is said to have started in the Edo period, and was actively made from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period. Bingo-ya (Miyoshi family) passed down the folk toy from generation to generation, but it was discontinued with the 6th generation, Akira Miyoshi. Currently, the Preservation Society is inheriting and making modern Hakota dolls. This tiger hariko has a weight on its tail, and is a "tail-wagging tiger" instead of a head-nodding tiger.
