The back of the buttons are marked "553," indicating production at the San Benito, Texas factory during the final period of US manufacturing, a point highly valued in the vintage clothing market. Purchased in 2001, they were used for several years in conjunction with other 501s and have been stored at home for over 20 years. There is no noticeable damage, including to the hem.
