This is a rather old white coral hairpin. The carving on the coral appears to be of peonies. It seems to be a hairpin with a motif of open peony flowers and buds just beginning to bloom. The metal fittings also have a gold-like color, and they are handmade. The coral part of the peony can be turned upside down, so please adjust it to your liking. It seems that many old hairpins did not have hallmarks. The needle hairpin I previously listed also had no hallmarks, but a buyer said it was 18-karat gold and offered 30,000 yen for it.
